2008 Teen Summer Reading Program

Read It! Watch It! Win It!

Wow! This summer we had a wonderful time meeting at the library! The Lee County Public Library System had great programs for teens. At the Fort Myers Library we got to see a movie, make a movie, learn about bead making (how glass bead are made!) & we enjoyed magic, not to mention have a super duper way cool party.

The Friends of the library really made this year count! The Palm Readers donated money for food and drinks. The pizza came from a local business and they love helping our teens in the community.

Ms. Kathleen got 50 tickets from Gatorland Bowling, and 50 tickets from the City of Fort Myers Skatium! Now that is really "Cool" and it has to be to keep the ice ready!

The staff at the library really helped us out with the baskets... so many donations from so many different people. Because everyone here wants to give back to the teens.

We really had a lot of really teen volunteers too! These teens helped with all the programs and made the overall summer successful!

The teens could use their teen bucks they earned for prizes!

This year we had M3Player, used cell phone, Hello Kitty memory stick, two different anime baskets, beach basket, two back-to-school backets, two girly girl baskets, cd's, free books, free food, free drinks, and a whole lot more! All the teens had to do is read, come to programs, and fill out review forms. We hope that next year will be even better!
